What is OPEN?
Operation Partnership Emergency Network is a private/public partnership between building owners, property managers,
security professionals and public safety agencies.
 
What is OPEN's mission?
Develop and enhance emergency response systems, procedures, and training programs that will facilitate the emergency
response and recovery capability and awareness of affected business owners and operators in the event of a crisis, and
to continually evaluate the emergency response needs of the membership.
 
Who is involved?
Public and private agencies, such as City of Fort Worth (Police, Fire and Emergency Management Office), Tarrant County
Sheriff's Department, Federal Protective Service, Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA--Fort Worth),
Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Convention Center, Tarrant County Hospital
District, property managers, security directors and other public and private entities.
 
What is the cost?
There is no fee at this time.
 
What is required?
You must have the necessary equipment to remotely receive email messages electronically transmitted by OPEN, such
as an email-enabled pager, cell phone, PDA or other mobile device. In addition, you must keep OPEN updated of any
changes to your notification email address and you must abide by the bylaws and procedures of the organization.
 
How much time do I have to give?
None! However, it is anticipated that training opportunities will be provided and all partners or their designees are
encouraged to attend.
 
 
What is the benefit?
The ability to receive of the most timely information available in the event of a crisis. It is the intent of OPEN to keep
partners informed.
 
How do I get started?
Print, complete and fax the Operation Partnership Emergency Network Participation Application and Waiver form
(don't forget to sign before faxing).
